Day 15: Nashville TN
Welcome
Yesterday we traveled back into the Central Time Zone and arrived in Nashville Tennessee for our show at The Mercy Lounge.
We began our day with a breakfast hunt in downtown Nashville. We walked down the famous Broadway Street and passed by the famous Ryman Auditorium.
We found a small Macaron restaurant and bought a selection of pastries for breakfast.
In the afternoon we set up and sound-checked at Mercy Lounge. The venue is located in Nashvilles’s The Gulch neighbourhood in the historic Cannery building - a former flour mill that took it’s name when it became a food processing facility in the 1950s.
The Cannery Building which housed a country music theatre in the late 70’s and eventually became one of Nashville’s primary music venues.
Our green room looked out over the Kayne Avenue Train Yard and we saw a variety of different cargos throughout the afternoon.
The Nashville crowd were wonderful and gave all of us a warm welcome. Here is a clip of Lunar Vacation playing their excellent song Mold.
Today we’ll begin a thorough examination of the bus’s communications suite located on the left forward bulkhead just above the driver’s seat. Pictured is a Cobra 29 LTD Classic CB radio, with 40 channels and a 4w power output.
