Day 15: Renwick
Welcome
Yesterday we drove a couple of hours to the Framingham vineyard and played an intimate show in their cellar.
There were plenty of leftovers to finish off before we left our Airbnb in Whakatū so I made a breakfast of refried tomato pasta, fresh oregano, a spare rib, and an egg.
Tristan was the lucky man behind the wheel yesterday and he did a magnificent job of driving us ten minutes down the road to Tahunanui beach where we filled in a spare hour with a game of cricket.
We set out again around midday and after a couple of thoroughly enjoyable hours of Tristan’s precision driving we arrived in Renwick, home of Framingham wines. This was our second visit to Framingham, the first being in March this year when the gig had to be cancelled at the last minute due to the rapidly unfolding COVID-19 situation.
It was a pleasure to return and a joy to play to the 100 people packed into the tiny underground room. We were joined last night by Pickle Darling, an excellent band from Dunedin, who opened up the show and will be joining us for the remainder of the tour.
To play us out today is the season finale of Callum Song Time. Catch you again for season two!
