Day 8: Leeds
Welcome
We drove up from Nottingham to Leeds today via the Peaks National Park.
Our Nottingham show was our loosest show so far. We played at a venue called 'Rock City' - a 2500 capacity room run by the local Hell's Angels. The food was the worst we've had in living memory and we didn't even get given a rider. The crowd was still lovely however and we had a great time watching and then hanging out with 'Deathcab'.
For breakfast today I had a flapjack.
The drive up through the national Park was a real stunner. In the town of Buxton we stopped for lovely afternoon tea of sandwiches and scones with jam and clotted cream.
It started snowing just as we arrived in Buxton so the rest of the drive was quite challenging, but well worth it for the terrific scenery.
