Day 7: Manawatū
Welcome
Yesterday we drove from Hawkes bay to Manawatū and played a show at The Stomach.
We all piled out of the Airbnb at 10am and headed over to Katie’s place for breakfast. She cooked a superb spread of scrambled eggs, hash browns, smashed avocado, and beans.
Following the meal there was a quick game of Cub (a stick throwing game) before we hit the road, again with driving expert Jonathan Pearce at the helm.
The Stomach is an all ages, not-for-profit venue that is supported by Palmerston North City Council. We were joined by two fantastic bands, Sports Dreams, and Vera Ellen, who both blew us away with their performances. Some of you may remember Beth Of The Day alumnus Vera Ellen from the band Girl Friday who we toured the US with last year.
This last segment today is simply a reward for all the loyal readers who tune into the blog day after day, whether it’s good or shit, long or short, true or false. Thank you, I appreciate your loyalty.
