Day 22: Omaha
Welcome
Yesterday we travelled to Omaha, Nebraska, and played a show at Slowdown.
We went for breakfast with Girl Friday at Messenger Coffee Co. + Ibis Bakery. Tristan and I shared a couple of pastries and then I had a Tartine with Prosciutto and poached eggs.
Jonathan scored a point for buying new latches for his 1970s Gibson Les Paul guitar case and then finding someone with a workshop so he could fit them. The drive to Omaha was beautiful and boring, punctuated only by Jonathan delivering a round of surprise drinks.

Tristan scored a point for buying Xxtra Flamin' Hot Cheetos. The show at Slowdown was fun. It was a smaller audience than usual but they made up for it with a few really good yellers.
Beth of the day goes to Ben. He started off the day with a prank, closing the façade doors over the elevator so Tristan couldn't find it. He followed through with a great breakfast recommendation and then bought Jono a sandwich when he wasn't able to make it to the café. To top it off he was the only Beth that made it to the stage at call time after Jono forgot his guitar and Liz forgot her capo. Nice work Ben. You can't go wrong if you start off with a good breakfast recommendation.
