Day 12: London
Welcome
Yesterday we drove to London, swapped to a new van, and played our biggest show of the tour.
We had to get on the road early so Jonathan took the initiative and went and bought breakfast while we were still getting ready. He bought me a coffee and a croissant. I forgot to photograph the croissant as I was driving so here is an artist's impression of what my breakfast looked like.

We were all sad to say goodbye to Van Diesel but unfortunately he was needed to brighten up someone else's life. Our new van is a brand new Ford Transit Custom with only 1000 miles on the clock. Powered by a 2.0 litre EcoBlue TDCi turbo diesel engine, our van pulls it's 2.5 tonne gross weight along very easily with powerful 405Nm hit of torque at only 1500rpm.
Autotrader.co.uk described the Ford Transit Custom as "a nice interior and the workhorse ability to get the job done", and "a fine choice for operators doing mainly urban mileage".

The Dome is a 650 capacity venue near Dartmouth Park in Northwest London. Hans Pucket opened the night with a sparkling set saturated with bangers and then they were followed up by the excellent London band Lazy Day. Our set was a heap of fun despite the dismal on-stage sound, and the audience was warm and energetic.
Hans Pucket effortlessly win over the London crowd.

I was lucky enough to see my wonderful cousin Emma and her delightful partner Michael Burns. They generously put me up at their flat and took me out to dinner before the show.
Beth of the day goes to Jonathan for getting us on the road so quickly with a pre-emptive breakfast. Tarina, you must be so proud 😀😀
