Day 13: Eindhoven

Welcome

Yesterday we had another huge drive from Berlin to Eindhoven, and played a show at Alstadt.

Tristan pulled a classic Tristan and started the day with two quick points earned, for buying everyone sandwiches and coffee, and bringing the van around to the hotel. For breakfast I had a sandwich with tomato, mozzarella, and basil.

I slept for a lot of the journey but managed to watch a few key moments of day four of the Blackcaps - Sri Lanka test. Tom 'Statham' Latham pushed his score up to a mighty 154 and Colin 'Big Dad' de Grandhomme had a magical innings scoring 83 runs from 75 balls, including 5 fours and 5 sixes.

Thanks to Tristan and Jon delivering a safe and consistent pace on the drive we made it to Eindhoven right on time for soundcheck, after which we walked to a nearby Ethiopian restaurant to have dinner with our friends from Peaness.

Alstadt was a nice room to play in and we played a great show. Back at the hotel afterwards Tristan and I watched History Channel's Knight Fight, a show about 'Medieval MMA'. "Presented by a team of experts, including ", it follows "normal people with normal lives forgetting their day jobs and becoming knights of battle in the full-contact Armoured Combat League".

Beth of the day goes to Tristan for a pre lobby call breakfast run, for bringing the van around, for doing a big six hour drive, and for a great dinner recommendation. Well done Tristan. Solidly won by a margin of three points.
